Rose and Garland travelled all the way to Bemidji, MN to do a ceremony for my husband, Jim Bedeau-iban in the last days before he left us.
Rose sang with her drum. Her song gently surrounded all of us with her soft kindness and care bringing so much Love and Comfort. I will always remember this.
I will remember her visiting sitting at the table drinking tea, sharing stories, laughter and good words.. Always gentle, kind, always wise.
Although, I will miss those times, her memory brings peace and love to my heart and forever friendship.
I am grateful to have known her.

Rose stayed with my late husband, Ken Meshake, and me in Ottawa when she was a young teen, just starting out in high school. Several years later, she arranged for a group of Aroland relatives to come to Ottawa to visit Ken in hospital, shortly before he died. It meant so much to him. Thank you, Rose.
