Many may not know this, as it seems like so many years ago since I worked as a summer student at Geco Mine carpenter shop. Herman often supervised us junior labourers & I remember his patience and his kindness. He was the first to make you feel welcome, teach you how to do something, always offering to share his delicious lunches, tell you stories of his family and life in general. He was a wonderful man with a great laugh & smile. One could tell he took life in and enjoyed it. I’m sure he will be missed. Sincerest condolences to the family.
