I was blessed to have Carmela in my life as my Nunna-in-law and the Great-Nunna to my three children. Carmela showed us all how we should live our lives: with kindness, compassion, humility, integrity, perseverance and, above all, love. I will always cherish my times with Carmela. She was an absolute pleasure to be around - always radiating joy and goodness. A beautiful soul, inside and out. We will all try to live our lives the way she lived hers!

Rosanna and I have been friends for over 25years. i have met Carmela several times over these years and have always been struck by her commitment to family, poise, strength and decisiveness. My friend Rosy and her sister, Wilma, have shown tremendous dedication to, and love of Carmela; Caring for her personally, in their own homes and emulating Carmela's values in how they parent and love their own families and friends. These values and qualities are the ultimate testament to the wonderful woman, and mother, that Carmela was. Carmela has lived a long and full life, with a wonderful family always by her side. I don't think there was a year in my life that didn't have Carmela in it. At around the age of 8, I remember being scolded by her at Spadoni's Freshmart when sneaking a few 'samples' from the bulk bins. I must have earned back her trust, as she showed me the ropes of the till when I later started working at Spadoni's Home Hardware. There wasn't a Legion event or Christmas dinner that I didn't make a point to first fill my plate with her cooking before it was gone. She flew out to Edmonton when Sandra and I got married and she was there at Crocker Lake holding Isla when she was just a couple of weeks old. I will always remember her accent and can clearly picture her smiling face with a glass of red wine in hand. Nathan Sending sincere condolences today. Carmela of a pillar of the community who touched the lives of many. We're so thankful that we had the opportunity to visit with her so many times over the past few years. Sending our love. As a French Canadian that didn't speek any Enflish went I moved in White River.. Spadoni ( and Belisle) Family becam my adoptive Family. Because of that I was able to survive. Carmela, always demonstrated a lot of respect toward me, no jugement and a lot of support. Very discrete, she remind me a lot of my grand-mother. And in retourne I had a lot of respect for her. Distance doesn't make it easy, but I was so happy and thankful, I had the chance to visit Wilma, Vaughan and Carmela in London last year. It's a blessing. To had the chance to see her before her éternel trip. Thank you so much to have been their for me. You will be mist but tour souvenir will stay for ever. Julie Tardif

Carmela was simply wonderful and we will hold her memories close, especially her legendary lasagna recipe that she so graciously shared as part of her wedding gift to us. It was always a pleasure to spend time with her at family events over the years while sipping her fabulous wine! We are thinking of you all as you celebrate the amazing life that she had!
