Obituary of Sylviane Morin

MORIN, Sylviane (June 15, 1962- June 24, 2024) - It is with heavy hearts that the Couture family announces the passing of their beloved Sylviane with her family by her side, on Monday June 24th, 2024, at the Chapleau Health Services.

Sylviane will be greatly missed by her husband Gilles Couture, her daughter Catherine (Pierre) and her 3 stepsons, Pierre, Danny (Kathleen) and Marc. She will also be missed by her 4 grandchildren, Andy (Makenna) Amy, Noemy (Thomas) and Sophy, her brothers Joel and Jean-René and her sister Nadyne, along with many relatives and friends. Sylviane was expecting her first great grandson in July. We know she’ll be watching over him from above. Sylviane was preceded in death by her parents, Gilles Morin and Monique Riopel and her sister Marie-Claude. Sylviane will be remembered like the strong woman that she was. She bravely fought Cancer for over a year.

Cremation has taken place at River’s Edge Cremation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie. Family and friends are invited for a time of visiting at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, (Chapleau, ON) on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 10:00  a.m. until time of Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. A private inurnment will follow at the Chapleau Municipal Cemetery. MORIN, Sylviane (15 juin 1962- 24 juin 2024) - C'est avec le cœur lourd que la famille Couture annonce le décès de leur bien-aimée Sylviane, avec sa famille à ses côtés, le lundi 24 juin 2024, aux Services de santé de Chapleau.

Sylviane manquera beaucoup à son mari Gilles Couture, à sa fille Catherine (Pierre) et à ses trois beaux-fils, Pierre, Danny (Kathleen) et Marc. Elle manquera également à ses quatre petits-enfants, Andy (Makenna), Amy, Noemy (Thomas) et Sophy, à ses frères Joël et Jean-René et à sa sœur Nadyne, ainsi qu'à de nombreux parents et amis. Sylviane attendait son premier arrière-petit-fils en juillet. Nous savons qu'elle veillera sur lui du haut du ciel. Sylviane a été précédée dans la mort par ses parents, Gilles Morin et Monique Riopel et sa sœur Marie-Claude. On se souviendra de Sylviane comme de la femme forte qu'elle était. Elle a courageusement combattu le cancer pendant plus d'un an.

La crémation a eu lieu au River's Edge Cremation Centre, à Sault Ste. Marie. La famille et les amis sont invités à visiter l'église catholique Sacré-Cœur (Chapleau, ON) le samedi 6 juillet 2024, de 10 h jusqu'à l'heure de la messe commémorative à 11 h. Une inhumation privée suivra au cimetière municipal de Chapleau. Pour ceux qui ne peuvent pas assister en personne, le service sera retransmis en direct.
