Hearing the news of your passing today has truly shaken me to my core. You were such a light and it was impossible not to laugh when you were always on a roll with your jokes, hilarious commentary, and dances. A hard worker with a huge heart. You loved Selena and the twins like your own, and you were so proud to share them with me. You loved my daughter too, working long shifts and then FaceTiming us for hilarious dance-off’s. I’ve been watching videos on repeat today because I can’t imagine not hearing your voice or laugh in person again. Love you and miss you forever until we meet again.

Too Young; Too unexpectedly; Too Heart-Breaking.
Dear Benjamin; Within the pages of this book is a saying: ‘It’s not how long you lived your life, but how you lived your life.
I think it would be safe to say that you did live your life to the fullest; with lots of laughter, love and adventures.
You are so missed by many; and I think that says a lot how you lived life and treated people.
Please give big hugs to your and my mother’s parents, your grandparents from me.
Love, Auntie Kathy and Uncle Terry

Yesterday taught me a hard life lesson about quickly things can go from being firsts to things becoming lasts.
You got me my first job and were the best co-worker ever (even though you used to make me run as fast as I could and get Raven to chase me once I got a head start). Took me to my first concert (and left me in the truck while you went to the Matagami cuz I wasn't even old enough to try and sneak in). Played my first paintball game with you at your field in Nemegos (where we would go on to have some of the most legendary laughing fits, like the neck of time night). And so many other firsts that I won't even mention online but I'll never forget. Now all I can think of was our lasts like the last time we hung out, the last time I saw you, and the last time you made my stomach hurt from laughing waaaaaaaaay too much.
You were the best friend, story teller, roommate, co-worker, and pretty much the funniest person on the planet and I still can't believe you're gone. What I wouldn't give for one more Curb Your Enthusiasm marathon, one more night in Nemegos, or for one more flim flam together.
My thoughts are with your family, all your friends, and everyone that ever met you, because I know everyone is hurting today and will be for a long time.
And I know it's a super cliché thing to say, but reach out to your loved ones today while you still can, because you just never know what can happen.
Until we meet again my friend.

Cousin Ben! My favourite cousin. We had endless laughs growing up. From Flim flammin, to Benjammin, to making fun of everything to make life more fun. You treated me like a little sister and told the best stories.
A lot of jokes and pranks at my expense, but not as much as you did to cousin Chris, lol
You’d light up any room with your charm and humour but also had a gentle side which I admired.
I’m still in sadness you’re gone, but I know I’ll see you again one day to sit down and tell some funny stories.

Awhile back, Ben decided to pick up a guitar . He didn't play for a long time, but for some reason he ended up being so good at it and it wasn't even fair! We used to learn AFI songs together and we'd show each other how to play parts that one of us couldn't figure out. I learned a lot of new guitar parts and techniques from him during that brief time he played. About a year and a half later he got bored and sold all his stuff. My mind was blown because how would you quit after getting that good so fast. He had a blacked out Gibson SG. Such a cool looking guitar. I'm going to keep an eye out for one to hang on my wall someday. Thanks for the guitar tips Ben!

The past couple of years we would plan group trips together. Me, Shawn, Ben, Joel, Marcel, and Remi would have endless laughs and it's a no brainer that Ben was running the show constantly making us laugh constantly. We will really feel his presence gone the next time we get together not laughing around the clock, but we'll never forget him continuing those get togethers and sharing memories of him.

Dear Ben, You are the most loved person I have ever known. When you were born you were so beautiful and perfect. Your whole life you made everyone smile and laugh and bought such joy to our family. Your older brother Jon got along so well with you and you never fought. Your younger brother Cameran looked up to you and could always count on your help. You had so many friends and always had time for them. They miss you so much. We can't accept your passing and will need God's help in navigating the journey ahead. Life without you will be unbearable. Our consolation is that you always told us you had the best childhood. You lived your life to the fullest and had so many interests and hobbies. It was a joy to watch you take on each new project and put your all in everything you tried. You loved our camp at Nemegos and went there every chance you had. The first one there in the Spring and the last one there in the Fall. I don't know how we can ever be happy there again when you are not there. You were an amazing Uncle to Selena and identical twins Eli and Leon. Your devotion to them was inspiring and they will never forget you. Its not fair they won't have you with them through the years ahead. It is hard to comprehend that someone so full of life can be taken so suddenly at the prime of their life. We will cherish every moment we had with you and wait for the moment we will meet again. If tears could bring you back you would be hear with us tonight. We will keep your memory alive until we meet again. Love Mom and Dad.

Ben was unequivocally the funniest person I have ever known. He was a muse for comedy and ignited laughter and story telling in whoever was near him. A testament to his character are the friends who mourned him. Once teenage skateboard rascals, now caring men who are pillars of the community.
As a kid Ben was the prototype of Bart Simpson. Always pulling pranks on us but still our favorite character despite it. In his recent years he had the benefit of living in two worlds. One as a solitary old trapper knowing the deep secrets of the forests and lakes, the other as a modern man skillfully operating heavy machinery in industrial sites. He was a fundamental element in the Chapleau community and we are all poorer in his absence.
I've always thought as him as my older brother, both a tormentor and best friend (as older brothers are). It was an honor to be able carry him when he needed me and Ill miss him dearly. Hope I see you on the other side one day.

My sweet nephew Ben. Uncle Syd and I rushed up to the hospital to see you the day you were born. We watched you grow into a strong, kind, capable man. A Real Man, as some say. You had an easy kind way about you. Always there to help if needed. And giving assurances you'd be there if you were needed for anything in the future. You were the perfect son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many. Your love and gentle kindness for your niece and Goddaughter Selena and the twins Eli and Leon was something Beautiful to behold. It seems unfathnable to contemplate a future without you around our Family Circle. Another Rock in the Family taken away from us much too soon. Although are hearts are aching with your loss, we know that Our Lord has a purpose for everthing that happens. Safe Journey Dear Ben. Until we meet again. Love Auntie Gail.
