Obituary of Theresa Memegos

MEMEGOS, Theresa – Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday January 25, 2016 at the age of 77 years. Beloved companion of the late Baptiste Memegos. Devoted mother of Josephine Wesley (Joseph) and Anita Stephens (Peter) and “gifted mother” of Joseph Picody, Fabian Picody, Brad Picody, Connie Picody and the late Judy Fletcher. Proud grandmother of Steve, Theresa, Josh (Manon), Rebecca (Jesse), Leonard (Kansas) and Emily. Great grandmother of Ian, Anisah, Siannah, Alexander, Xavier and Vanessa. Special “gifted” grandmother and great grandmother of many. Loving foster mother of Carol Desmoulin. Dear daughter of the late Mary and Samson Jackpine. Dear sister of the late Louisa Jackpine, late Joe Jackpine, late Frank Jackpine, late William Jackpine (late Yvonne), late Alec Jackpine (Virginia), and the late Paul Jackpine (Muriel). Theresa will be lovingly remembered by her son-in-law Morris Nakogee and is predeceased by Joseph Memegos, the father of Josephine and Anita. Theresa will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit at the Blue Heron Inn (522 Highway 129, Chapleau) on Thursday January 28, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday January 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sebastien Groleau officiating.
