Obituary of Lionel Ray Sr.

RAY, Lionel Sr. – Went to meet his Creator on Monday October 2, 2023 at the age of 86 years. Lionel passed away peacefully at the Wilson Memorial Hospital, Marathon.

Beloved husband of Martha Ray (nee Michano). Loving father of the late Ivan Ray, Grace White (Steve) of Sturgeon Falls, Lionel Ray Jr. (Tammy McGraw) of Caramat, Melinda Clark (Bill) of White River, Calvin Ray (Nancy) of Corbiel and Samantha Andreola (Mike) of Coquitlam. Cherished grandfather of David White (Kristin) of North Bay, Jamie White (Tess) of Toronto, Rebecca Leonard (Justin), Logan Leonard all of White River, Hollie Clark of Sault Ste. Marie, Jesse Clark of White River, Hannah Ray of Thunder Bay, Kayla Ray of Ottawa, Megan Pilon (Alex) of Kanata, Paige Ray of Corbiel, Dakota Andreola and Marissa Andreola both of Coquitlam. Proud great grandfather of Jayde, Layla and Trevor Witzell all of White River. Son of the late Grace and Steve Ray. Dear brother of Vern Ray of Nipigon, Glen Ray of Calgary, the late Gabriel Ray, the late Andrew Hardy, Sarah Ann Kenedy of Thunder Bay, the late Francis Ray, late Grace Posty, late Pauline Young and the late Edna Overland. Lionel Sr. will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Cremation will take place at River’s Edge Cremation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
