Obituary of Norma Jean Longpre

LONGPRE, Norma “Chris” – Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday September 30, 2023 at Health Science North, Sudbury at the age of 66 years.

Beloved wife of Richard for 48 years. Proud mother of Tanya Keech (Vince), Suzie Longpre (Joseph Picody), Thomas Longpre (Valerie) and the late Bonnie. Loving nana to Katrina (Jordan), Shyanne (Tyrone), April (Logan), Micheal, Judy Teh'ya, Ava, and grandma to TJ and Mary. Great grandma of Grayson. Loving daughter of the late Laura and William Christie. Dear sister of Barbara, Carol, Vince, Jacqui, Stanley and their families. Daughter in law of the late Gaston and Annie Longpre. Dear sister-in-law of Aline, Rita, Joyce, late Lloyd, late Gail and late Earl. Chris will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and Robert, a close friend of the family.

Cremation will take place at River’s Edge Cremation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 Richard Street on Friday October 6, 2023 beginning at 4:00 p.m. Memorial donations made to the Chapleau General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
