BOUDREAU, Mamie – Peacefully passed away at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the age of 75.  

Mamie is the beloved mother of Derek, (late) Dale, (late) Leland, (late) Elaine and the (late) Joseph Tangie. Loving sister of Lucy Tangie, Marian Higo, Michael Prokop, Donald Prokop, Joanne, and Sandra. Mamie will be fondly remembered by her friend John and her sister-family Marjorie Tangie, Christine Venedam and Gladys Tangie Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Ada Picody (nee Redbreast) and her siblings Alice Picody, Dorothy Reid, Henry Picody and Caroline Ojeebah. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her Ottawa family and friends, as well as her numerous acquaintances throughout the years.

Mamie was a storyteller and loved to reminisce about the past and remember her good times. Mamie was a residential school survivor, and we are all grateful for her perseverance and determination and resiliency in her adversities. Mamie loved to come home to Chapleau to visit with all her cousins she grew up with and always looked forward to her next visits, she will be greatly missed.

 A visitation will take place at the Brunswick House First Nation Community Hall beginning on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 11:00 am until the time of Funeral Service on Monday, August 7, 2023, at 11:00 am. Cremation will then take place at River’s Edge Cremation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie.
