Obituary of Carol Baye

BAYE, Carol – (December 13, 1942 – August 28, 2022) - Passed away unexpectedly at the Sante Manitouwadge Health at the age of 79 years.

Carol has gone to be with her beloved husband Pete. Loving mother of Elizabeth Kardas (Rob) and the late Fred Baye. Proud “nan” of Kory Baye. Dear daughter of the late Doris and George Cook. Carol is survived by one sister Lesley Adams of Toronto, ON and is predeceased by her two brothers and three sisters. She will be remembered by her nieces and nephews.

Carol was an advocate for the needy, the hungry and the poor. She was born in Hull, England and immigrated to Canada in 1962 at the young age of 20 where she settled in and called Manitouwadge home. As a long-time resident of Manitouwadge, she will be remembered and sadly missed by the community.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday September 15, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Manitouwadge from 10:00 a.m. until time of the memorial mass at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jerome Nnanna officiating. Carol’s cremated remains will be laid to rest alongside Pete and Fred at the Manitouwadge Municipal Cemetery.

Memorial donations made to the Manitouwadge Food Bank or to the Manitouwadge Animal Shelter would be greatly appreciated.
