Obituary of Yvon Millette

MILLETTE, Yvon - A resident of Manitouwadge, Ontario passed away peacefully in his beloved hometown of Hillsport, Ontario on Friday October 2, 2015 at the age of 79 years. Yvon was born January 7, 1936 in Kapuskasing, Ontario. Yvon passed away among friends and doing what he loved best, camping and hunting, he also had a passion for fishing. He is best known for being "the king of the road". Beloved husband of the late Eva Millette. Loving father of Elizabeth Millette of Manitouwadge, Ontario, Roger Millette (Beverly) of Hillsport, Ontario, Sonja Mihaljevic (Roy) of Geraldton, Ontario, the late Carol Belanger (Eric) and the late Wayne. Proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren; Ami, Kristi, Joshua, Roxanne, Lucille, Tracy, Braydon, Evan, Avery, Jade, Cleo , Nicola and grandfather of 15 great grandkids. Dear son of the late Wilfred and Bertha Millette. He will lovingly remembered by his siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Manitouwadge on Tuesday October 6, 2015 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the Church on Wednesday October 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Lawrence Susai officiating. Memorial donations made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
