Obituary of Lisa Lafreniere

LAFRENIERE, Lisa – Passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday June 24th 2022, at the age of 70 years. 

Daughter of the late Florence and Fernando Bernier.  Loving sister of Pierre & Shelley and Sylvio & Trudy.  Aunt to Clayton (Brenda), Steven (Nicole), and special aunt to Lauren and Cora. Great aunt to Rowan, Charlotte, Parker, Preston and Pierce

Over the course of her life, she made many lifelong friends, whether it be working at the MNR, LCBO, Chapleau Ambulance Service or the OPP.   Lisa took great pride in her house painting skills all throughout the community and never hesitated to lend a helping hand nor was she afraid of hard work.  She was an avid traveler, loved her coffee club and was always up for a good game of cards or bingo. Lisa loved hunting with her family, 4-wheeling and berry picking.

Lisa always treasured her time in Island Lake while growing up and is still connected to many of the Island Lake friends. Later in life, she found her happy place, the Camp, where she enjoyed sipping a ceaser by the fire, watching the sunset and listening to the loons. Auntie Weezie will be missed by many.

Memorial donations made to the Chapleau Health Centre Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. At Lisa’s request cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held in the Fall.
