I am so sorry for your loss. I met Eugene while he was working at the store. He certainly showed that he cared for the business. I have missed hearing from him over the last few months. Lyda Miller Loblaw.

My brother and I (jordan) were able to visit auntie Shirley and uncle Boo at their cabin back in 2014. We had a great time fishing and enjoying each other’s company. I am very thankful that auntie and uncle let us stay at their cabin and thankful to my grandparents (Ralph and Betty) for bringing us to meet two amazing people. My condolences to Shirley. I am so glad I met Eugene. Much love

The passing of my friend Eugene (Boo) is difficult. His objective analysis of all things political or social was always an interesting conversation when we would gather at the camp. The time we spent as a team with the Chapleau Recreation Centre starting in the late 70's was an interesting adventure - one that remains solid in memory today. I can still see him holding down the old CPR rail station bench while conducting parking lot security at the rink.
The walleye and moose on the back river can now sleep well knowing he is on another waterway with Alain, the St Amand brother's and, Arnie which will have this May Run reunite the "crew"...
I am confident his "brother the Father" has welcomed him home and the conversation has once again lasted well into the night...my condolences to Shirley, Lea and family - our visit this past February, in White River, was fun, as we exchanged stories and recalled the past.
Regrettably, I will be away and unable to attend his last visit to the church this coming week but he will be in my thoughts those days as well as many others...rest well my friend. Gone much too soon.

This saddens me to hear this news Eugene and Shirley were my neighbors in white river for 14 years. Some days he use to let me borrow his white and red truck to go down to the variety store. He was truly one of the best neighbors and friends for the years I lived in white river. Unfortunately I moved and lost touch with Eugene and Shirley, my condolences to the family he will greatly be missed. I definitely miss the good times we had when I lived next door.
