Obituary of James Robert Lehtinen
Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
LEHTINEN, James Robert – (1951~2022) It is with great sadness to share the news of the sudden passing of James Robert Lehtinen on Saturday January 1, 2022 at the age of 70 years.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife Myra, his children Tim (Sandra), Melinda (Ray), Melissa (Marc), Mike (Sylvie), his sisters Judy (Walter), Betty (Mike), Patti (Tim) and by Myra’s sons Vincent, Paul, Clayton, Kyle and Matthew. He will also be remembered by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In life, Jim suffered the loss of his first wife Betty Lou (nee Campbell), his parents Matti and Florence, his brother Ken and his sister Nancy.
Jim worked for Timmins Transit for over 25 years. Sharing his jokes, stories and poems with any patron that would listen. In his retirement, Jim lived life to the fullest, hunting, fishing, camping and travelling to visit family and friends. He was always looking forward to the fall to go hunting with the gang. He documented his life’s story through poetry, he always wanted to pass on his life’s work for all to see. Jim would want everyone he touched to drink a beer and remember the good times. May he rest in peace.
A Celebration of his life will be held on August 1, 2022 at Teal Lake, Ontario. Memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
