Obituary of Pauline Fortier

FORTIER, Pauline - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Bignucolo Residence on Wednesday December 22, 2021 at the age of 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Romeo Fortier for 45 years. Devoted mother of the late Rejean Fortier, Renald Fortier (Carol), Carole Gauthier (Fernand), Diane Bryson (Terry) and Daniel Fortier (Lise). Proud grandmother of Michel, Francine, Nancy, Vickie, late baby Gail, Shelly, Jenny, Mandy, Eric, Joel, Melanie, Josee, Tracy, Mike, James, Christine and Patrick. Great grandmother of 28 and great great grandmother of 3. Pauline was predeceased by her 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit at the Sacred Heart Church on Sunday December 26, 2021 from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at the church on Monday December 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Herve Sauve officiating. A spring burial will take place at the Chapleau Municipal Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Chapleau Health Services Activation Department or to the CNIB would be greatly appreciated by the family. Épouse bien-aimée de feu Romeo Fortier durant 45 ans. Mère dévouée de feu Réjean Fortier ainsi que de Renald Fortier (Carol), Carol Gauthier (Fernand), Diane Brison (Terry) et Daniel Fortier (Lise). Fière grand-mère de Michel, Francine, Nancy, Vickie, feu bébé Gail, Shelly, Jenny, Mandy, Eric, Joël, Mélanie, Josée, Tracy, Mike, James, Christine et Patrick. Elle était l'arrière-grand-mère de 28 personnes et l'arrière-arrière-grand-mère de 3 enfants. Pauline a été précédée dans la mort par ses 3 frères et 2 sœurs. Ses nièces et neveux se souviendront d'elle avec amour. Parent et amis sont invités à l’église du Sacré-Cœur pour les visites le dimanche 26 décembre 2021 de 19 h à 21 h. Une messe des funérailles aura lieu à l'église le lundi 27 décembre 2021 à 11 h présidée par lʼabbé Hervé Sauvé. (En raison de la Covid-19, le port d'un masque ou d'un couvre-visage est obligatoire, de même que le maintien d'une distance sociale). L’inhumation aura lieu au printemps au cimetière municipal de Chapleau. Des dons commémoratifs faits au Service d'activation des Services de santé de Chapleau ou CNIB seraient grandement appréciés par la famille. La famille tient à remercier les médecins, les infirmières, les travailleurs sociaux et tout le personnel de la résidence Bignucolo pour les merveilleux soins prodigués à Pauline au cours des quatre dernières années et demie.
