Obituary of Gilbert Joseph Guillemette

GUILLEMETTE, Gilbert – Passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Chapleau Health Services on Sunday March 22, 2015 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of the late Simone Guillemette. Loving father of Donald (Darlene), Diane (Michel), Albert (Kathy), the late Bobby, and Dana (Gaetan). Cherished grandfather of Valerie, Shawn, Corey, Jason, Mikey, Matthew, Shannon, Shonna, Laura, Mark, Danielle and Julie. Proud great grandfather of 18. Dear brother of Lucia, Marie-Laure, Berthe and predeceased by Aline, Alexandre, Noel, Louise, Jeanette, Gilles, Gilbert, Yvon, Bernard and Clément. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Gilbert's family would like to extend a special thank you to Colleen Cardin for her companionship and care given to Gilbert for the past eight years, it was a special friendship that meant a great deal to Gilbert and to his family. Friends are invited to visit at the P.M. Gilmartin Visitation Centre (10 Young Street, 1-800-439-4937) on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church on Thursday March 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sebastien Groleau officiating. Spring interment at St-Jean de Brebeuf Cemetery, Sultan. Memorial donations made to the Chapleau Health Services "Activation Department", Canadian Cancer Society or to the St-Jean de Brebeuf Church "Roof Fund" would be greatly appreciated by the family.
