Obituary of Adélard Joseph Fortin

FORTIN, Adélard – Décédé paisiblement avec sa famille à ses côtés à la Résidence Bignucolo, mardi le 13 mars 2018 à l’âge de 88 ans. Époux bien-aimé de Victorine depuis 64 ans. Père dévoué, gentil et aimant de Lorraine Fortin, feu Lévis Fortin, feu Jocelyn Fortin, Diane Fortin-Lapointe (Anna), Daniel Fortin (Pierrette), Lina Davidson (Ben) et Camille Fortin (Chantal ainsi que de feue Julie). Grand-papa très fier de 15 petits-enfants et arrière-grand-papa de plusieurs. Adélard était un de 12 enfants et se souviendront de lui avec tendresse ses frères et sœurs qui le pleurent ainsi que ses neveux et nièces. Les amis sont invités au corps à l’église Sacré-Cœur, jeudi soir de 19h à 21h. Une messe, présidée par le Révérend Sébastien Groleau, sera célébrée le lendemain, vendredi 16 mars à 11h. L’enterrement aura lieu au printemps au cimetière municipal de Chapleau. Des dons, en faveur de la paroisse Sacré-Cœur, seraient grandement appréciés par la famille. Victorine et les enfants désirent exprimer leur profonde reconnaissance envers les membres du personnel de la Résidence Bignucolo et de l’abbé Sébastien pour les excellents soins apportés à Adélard et sa famille durant cette période. FORTIN, Adélard – Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Bignucolo Residence on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at the age of 88 years.  Beloved husband of Victorine for 64 years.  A devoted, gentle and loving father of Lorraine Fortin, late Levis Fortin, late Jocelyn Fortin, Diane Fortin-Lapointe (Anna), Daniel Fortin (Pierrette), Lina Davidson (Ben) and Camille Fortin (Chantal and the late Julie).  Proud grandfather of 15 and great grandfather of many.  Adélard was one of 12 children, he will be lovingly remembered by his surviving brothers and sisters and by his many nieces and nephews.  Friends may visit at Sacred Heart Church on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will then be held on Friday March 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sebastien Groleau officiating.  A spring interment will take place at the Chapleau Municipal Cemetery.  Memorial donations made to the Sacred Heart Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.  Victorine and her family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of the Bignucolo Residence and to Father Sebastien for their excellent and compassionate care of Adélard and the family during this time.  (Arrangements entrusted to the P.M.
