Obituary of Richard Charles Mallek

MALLEK, Richard Charles “Ricky” – Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Timmins and District Hospital on Sunday October 1, 2017 at the age of 63 years.  Beloved husband of Sally Luke.  Loving dad of Melanie Mallek (Paul Crooks) and Shawna Mallek Lavoie (Martin).  Cherished Grandpa Ricky of Shawn, Kyle, Alissia and Lilianna.  Dear son of the late of the late Genevieve (nee Wilson) (deceased 1984) and Mike Mallek (deceased 1995).  Dear brother of Dianne Mallek-Lacroix (Raymond Lafontaine) and the late Mikey Mallek (deceased 1974) (late Jane).  Ricky will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and his Mattagami First Nations family.  Friends may visit at the P.M. Gilmartin Visitation Centre (10 Young Street, Chapleau) on Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday October 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sebastien Groleau officiating.  Interment at the Chapleau Municipal Cemetery.  Memorial donations made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.  www.gilmartinfuneralhome.ca
