JARDINE, W.D. “Doug” – (1927-2017) - The family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of Doug at the Bignucolo Residence on Wednesday April 20, 2017. Beloved husband of Cecilia Jardine for 62 years. Loving father of Robert (Karen), Rosalyn Gambell (Dave), and Christie. A loving devoted grandfather of Aaron (Lea), Amelia, Julie (Darren) and Alex (Tanya). Proud great grandfather of Aja Jane and Hendrix. Dear brother of Francis (late Henry “Chicken” Corston, late Bert Lindquist), Tom Jardine (Joan), predeceased by Donald “Flappy” Jardine. He will be remembered by his nieces, nephews and his many friends. Doug will be remembered for being a locomotive engineer for 39 years for CP Rail. He was an upstanding member of the community, public school board for 20 years, a member of the I.O.C., the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5, and the secretary/treasurer for the union. Doug was an avid out doorsmen, he loved trapping, amateur prospector, hunting, he was happy in the bush. Friends may visit at the Trinity United Church on Monday April 24, 2017 from 11:30 until time of service at 1:00 p.m. with The Bishop Tom Corston officiating. Memorial donations made to the Bignucolo Residence, Chapleau General Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family. (Arrangements entrusted to the P.M.
