HECHLER, Ursula – Passed away unexpectedly on Thursday March 16, 2017 at the age of 79 years. Beloved wife of Henry for 58 years. Loving mother of Kelly Hechler (Greg Marsh), Jim Hechler (Carrie) and Tina Hechler-Vandal (Felix Vandal). Adored Oma of Beatrix, Samantha (Mike Delion), Renée, Nicholas, Noah and Julia. Dear sister of the late Inga Foster (Richard) and Kim Wilmot (Darlene). Dear daughter of the late Ida Wilmot (late Harold) and late Heinrich Fabian. Ursula was born in Emden, Germany and after the war, emmigrated to Canada with her mother and young sister, eventually settling in Wawa where she met her beloved husband Henry and raised their family. A good friend and neighbor, Ursula was a great bridge player, had a passion for painting and art, reading and a thirst for knowledge. Family and friends will remember her great conversation and quirky sense of humour. A visitation will be held at the P.M. Gilmartin Funeral Home (140 Churchill Avenue, Wawa, 705-856-7340) on Monday March 20, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations made to the Lady Dunn Health Centre Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. www.gilmartinfuneralhome.ca
