Lynda, my dear sister was special to all her knew her. Lynda is best described as a loving, caring, generous person who loved family and her dear friends. I learned many things from Lynda about how to live life and I will be eternally grateful for that. Lynda was a devout follower of Christ and served with her husband, Ben, in the ministry, using her musical skills in ministsry and her gorgeous voice in worship services.. Lynda loved to read and it was only natural that she serve for years as Hornepayne’s librarian, bringing that institution into the 21st century. She loved history and often wrote in her weekly column about historical events. Her children are her crowning glory as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. I will miss her quick wit and humor and will always be thankful to have had her as an older, usually wiser, sister.

My sisters and I were not able to grow up with our Mother. She passed away in 1950. However, we grew up with our grandparents, mothers side and as a result we experienced a very different early life. We were fortunate to have a very close relationship with our cousins Lynda and Karen. We were raised together, being more like sisters than cousins. Always so kind and softhearted. I have so many good memories, too many to pick one. Lynda, you are gone, but never forgotten, love lasts fovever. Always in my mind, forever in my heart. My love to Laura, Gill and families and Karen and her family.

This was in our old album dated Nov/61 of Lynda, Nanny and Karen. I wanted to add a picture to the memory book that I was sure you had never seen so I went looking for this. I heard the stories all the years how my Mom and aunts were raised along side Lynda and Karen like siblings instead of cousins and always thought that was so special. Nanny always brought the family together so wanted the pic with her in the middle ❤️
