Obituary of Robert Georges Moreau

MOREAU, Robert Georges (August 20, 1934 – April 15, 2026) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Georges Moreau on Wednesday April 15, 2026 at the age of 91 years.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Louise Moreau. He was a devoted father to
Christina Fortin and Robert Moreau Jr. (Suzanne). He is predeceased by his parents Sylvia Tremblay Moreau and Albert Moreau, as well as his siblings Gratcia, Raymond, Patricia, Regina, Jeanne, Roland, Alice and Regis. Robert will be deeply missed by the apples of his eye—his cherished grandchildren: four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren—who brought him immense pride and joy. He will also be sorely missed by his many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched over the years.

A true outdoorsman, Robert had a lifelong passion for fishing, hunting, and trapping. He found peace and happiness in nature and passed that love on to those around him. He was a dedicated member of his community, serving as a volunteer firefighter for 30 years. Robert also worked as a lineman for Chapleau Hydro, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.

Robert will be remembered for his quiet strength, his deep love for his family, and his unwavering commitment to helping others. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Sacred Heart Church, Chapleau on Friday April 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Reverent Ben Nshikita officiating.
