SAUNDERS, Darlene April – Passed away peacefully with family at her side at the Sante Chapleau Health Services on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the age of 60. Loving mom of Kayla and Jesse. Very treasured grandmother of Jahtyius. Daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Saunders. Dear sister of Joseph Jr., late Dougie (Louise), Raymond (Lucy), Isabelle (Gord), Lisa (Clark), Allan, late September and late Tanya. Auntie to Natasha, Renae, Doug Jr., Justin, Erica, Cedar, Dakotah, Hunter, Nathan, Cody, Santana, and Amanda. She was also a Great Auntie, niece, and a cousin to many. She was the one who we went to for advice and always had an answer and always wanted the best for her family.  She gave us scolding and told us to smarten up and that it’s not about us; We listened.  Cremation has taken place at River’s Edge Cremation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie, ON.  Friends are invited to visit at the Joseph H. Saunders Community Hall on Sunday March 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Trinity United Church, Chapleau on Monday March 2, 2026, at 11 a.m. Memorial donations can be made to any Addictions Charity.
