Obituary of Sharon Leveille
LEVEILLE, Sharon - It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Dawn (Rogers) Leveille on Thursday August 21, 2025 at Wilson Memorial General Hospital, Marathon, ON.
Sharon was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on January 1, 1968. She grew up on Long Lake in Sudbury, ON. This began her lifelong love of the great outdoors. She never met a lake, tree or animal she didn’t like. Sharon settled in Marathon in 1990, where she met the love of her life, André Leveille in 1994. They recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on August 5th.
Sharon trained for and worked at a variety of jobs over the years, always learning new skills, but she found her calling in 2020 when she realized her dream of opening a bed and breakfast. Sharon made every guest feel welcome at Dreamscapes Inn, where the impeccably decorated interior of Sharon and Andy’s home in the forest is rivalled only by the perfect beauty of the outdoors. Her vibrant, warm and caring personality was appreciated by all who knew her as a customer, acquaintance or as a dear friend.
Sharon is adored and cherished by her family; husband André, her son Mark Morin (Andi-Rae), granddaughter Hailey, her brothers Ian (Crystal) and Keith (Debb) Rogers, her sisters-in-law, Lise Leith (John), Diane McCarthy (Steve), brothers-in-law, Ray (Geraldine) and Paul (Shantell) Leveille, several nieces and nephews and her mother, Isobel Seravalli (Bep), who provided extraordinary loving care to her in her short but difficult illness. She was fiercely proud of her Scottish and Finnish heritages and will be missed tremendously by her family and friends in Scotland and England.
Sharon loved her family more than anything. We are lucky to have had her in our lives and will carry her beautiful spirit with us forever.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on Saturday October 11, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, 37 Howe St., Marathon, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wilson Memorial General Hospital Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated.
