Obituary of Noah Mitchell-Hourie

MITCHELL-HOURIE, Noah Jaylan Riley -Wabinicot/White Cloud – Went to be with his Creator unexpectedly on Saturday July 12, at the young age of 27 years.

Noah, proud and loving father of Jaylan George and Aiyanna Nellie Moon. Loving son of Doris Mitchell “Wolf Spirit Woman”, Rick Groleau and Perry Hourie “White Eagle”. Dear brother of Sara, Chad, Noella, Raven and Jerret. Cherished grandson of Nellie and the late George Mitchell, Phyllis and the late John Hourie.  Noah will be lovingly remembered by his traditional Godfather Martin Millen (Chantal). He will be missed by his closest friend Alyssa  Drake.  His many aunts, uncles and cousins will also miss his presence. 

Noah and his father come from a long line of family that were the founding members of the Peguis First Nation in Manitoba. 

Family and friends may visit at his mother’s home (56 Pow Wow Miikaan, Brunswick House First Nation, Chapleau) **UPDATE CHANGE OF DATE** on Sunday July 27, 2025 from 12 to 2 pm. Cremation will follow at River’s Edge Cremation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie, ON.
