

Obituary of Christopher Nabigon
NABIGON, Christopher – Passed away peacefully at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday July 1, 2025 at the age of 63 years.
Beloved husband of Susan for 43 years. Loving father of Christopher Jr. (Sharon) and Kyle. Proud grandfather of Lesley and Logan. Son of the late Ruby and Camille Nabigon. Dear brother of Stan (Alice), Darcy, Delphine (Gaetan), late Edward (late Darlene), late Alvina (late Arnold), late Wilfred (Catherine), late Imelda (late Gunther), late Adele and the late Dorothy. Son-in-law of the late Nancy and Basil Desmoulin. Brother-in-law of Jennifer (Clyde), Carol (Keith), Donalda (Michel), May Ann (Thomas), Barry (Sandra) and Amanda. Chris will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins. He will be remembered for his unconditional love of his grandchildren who meant everything to him and of course for being the ultimate Boston Bruins fan.
When his sons were younger, he devoted to helping them with their passion for sports especially in hockey, from 1983 every year until 2012 the year Kody passed away. With the help of his friend, he started a hockey team that went on to compete in the annual Lil NHL hockey tournaments annually. He organized the team and the fund raising to get them there. He was able to accomplish his team winning the B Division in 2006 was a highlight to him.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church, Biitigong Nishnaabeg First Nation, on Monday July 7, 2025 at 1:00 with Reverend Jerome Nnanna officiating. Wake service will be held on Sunday at 2:00. Cremation has taken place at River’s Edge Cremation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie, ON.
