Obituary of Ange-Aimée St-Martin

St-MARTIN, Ange-Aimée (née Breton)  18 avril 1938 - 28 avril 2025 - C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de notre chère mère, grand-mère, arrière-grand-mère et sœur, Ange-Aimée, décédée paisiblement le 28 avril 2025, à l’âge de 87 ans.

Ange-Aimée, fille de feu Albert Breton et de feu Eva Champion, prédécédée par son époux Jean-Louis St-Martin (décédé en 1973), ainsi que son conjoint Réjean Proulx (décédé en 2015). Sa mémoire sera chérie par ses enfants : Rémi (Lilianne Jean), Denise Godbout (Camil), Paul (feu Patsy Saunders), André (feu Édith Alarie), (Comfort Okon), feu Angèle Rheault (Robert), Marie-Anne (Mike Lahaie) et Alain (Chantal Cyr).

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses dix-huit petits-enfants qu’elle adorait : Joanne Douillard, David et Michel St-Martin, Mélanie Rourke, Linda Goold, Daniel et Joël Godbout, Cory et Dustin Saunders, Christine et Hélène St-Martin, feu Dwayne et feu Crystal St-Martin, Eric Rheault, Josée et Janelle Joliat, Ryan et Mark St-Martin.

Elle chérissait également ses 25 arrière-petits-enfants : Dave, Cody, Maryanne, Carson, Jaiden, Julie, Jessica, Joshua, Elodie, Trinity, Lochlan, Kavik, Maxime, Marcelle, Erica, Maeve, Claude Jr., Broady, Xavier, Damien, Nikko, Nicolas, et Maverick ainsi que ses deux arrière-arrière-petits-enfants, Damien et Mila. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses beaux-enfants, plusieurs frères et sœurs, nièces, neveux, cousines et cousins.

Ange-Aimée est née à St-Zacharie de Beauce. Sa famille a déménagé à Moffet, Témiscamingue, où elle a grandi sur une ferme. Elle a rencontré son mari Jean-Louis et a déménagé à Dalton, puis Chapleau en 1965. Elle a toujours entretenu avec soin un grand jardin et d’énormes plants de rhubarbe — c’était sa passion, et elle a jardiné jusqu’à la fin. Nous nous souviendrons toujours du grand amour qu’elle portait à sa famille. Sa dévotion envers ses petits-enfants faisait que chacun se sentait unique et spécial. Elle adorait aussi cuisiner de grands repas et tricoter des chaussettes colorées pour chacun de nous. Jouer aux cartes avec elle et tenter de la battre nous manquera énormément. Nos cœurs sont brisés, mais nous chérirons sa mémoire et tout l’amour qu’elle nous a donné.

La famille et les amis sont invités à visiter l’église catholique Sacré-Cœur Chapleau le vendredi 2 mai 2025, de 18h – 21h. Une messe funéraire aura lieu à l’église Sacré-Cœur, le samedi 3 mai 2025 à 11h avec l’abbe Ben Nshikita. St-MARTIN, Ange-Aimée (née Breton) April 18, 1938 – April 28, 2025) - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grand-mother, great-grand-mother and sister, Ange-Aimée, who died peacefully on April 28, 2025, at the age of 87.

Ange-Aimée was predeceased by her parents, Albert Breton and Eva Champion, her husband, Jean-Louis St-Martin, in 1973 and her partner, Réjean Proulx in 2015. Her memory will be cherished by her children Rémi (Lilianne Jean), Denise Godbout (Camil), Paul (Patsy Saunders, predeceased), André (Édith Alarie, predeceased), (Comfort Okon), Angèle Rheault, (predeceased Robert), Marie-Anne (Mike Lahaie) and Alain (Chantal Cyr).

Lovingly remembered by her eighteen grandchildren that she adored: Joanne Douillard, David and Michel St-Martin, Mélanie Rourke, Linda Goold, Daniel and Joël Godbout, Cory and Dustin Saunders, Christine and Hélène St-Martin, (Dwayne and Crystal St-Martin both predeceased), Eric Rheault, Josée and Janelle Joliat, Ryan and Mark St-Martin.

Cherished by her 25 great-grandchildren, Dave, Cody, Maryanne, Carson, Jaiden, Julie, Jessica, Joshua, Elodie, Trinity, Lochlan, Kavik, Maxime, Marcelle, Erica, Maeve, Claude Jr., Broady, Xavier, Damien, Nikko, Nicolas, and Maverick. Will be missed by her 2 great-great-grandchildren Damien and Mila. Fondly remembered by her stepchildren, many brothers andsisters, nieces, nephews, cousins.

Ange-Aimée was born in St-Zacharie de Beauce and her family moved to Moffet, Témiscamingue where she grew up on a farm. She met her husband Jean-Louis and moved to Dalton then Chapleau in 1965. She always had a large vegetable garden and big rhubarb patch that she tended with care. It was her passion, and she gardened until she passed. We will always remember her great love that she had for her family. Her devotion to her grand children made each one of them feel special. She also loved to cook big lavish meals and knit her colorful socks for all of us. We will miss playing cards with her and trying hard to beat her. Our hearts are broken and we will cherish her memory and all the love she gave us.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Sacred Heart Church (Chapleau, ON) on Friday May 2, 2025, from 6 pm to 9 pm.  A Funeral Mass will Follow on Saturday May 3, 2025, at 11 am with Rev Benedictus Nshikita officiating. Interment to follow at the Chapleau Municipal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Activation Department at Bignucolo Residence in Chapleau.
