Please share a memory of Paul-André to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

DALLAIRE, Paul-André – Passed away peacefully at Sante Manitouwadge Health with friends and his grandson Devan by his side on Tuesday March 18, 2025 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of  the late Jeannette Dallaire of 61 years. Devoted father of André (late Chantal) and Elise Pelletier (Brian). Proud and very loving grandfather of Desiree (Shawn), Matthew (Kylee), and Devan (Shelby). Great grandfather of Rosalie and Gabriel. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Imelda Dallaire; his brothers Lucien, André, Patrice, Michel and Jean-Yves; his sisters Anne-Marie, Claire, Thérese, Jacynthe. He will also be missed by his siblings Bernard, Laval, Marial, Colette, Pauline, Marthe and Lucie. Paul-Andre will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

At a young age, his family moved from Lac Saint-Jean, Quebec, to a farm in Moonbeam, Ontario, where he developed a strong work ethic, working on the farm, in the bush and selling insurance. In 1966, he and his young family settled in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario where he pursued welding at Cambrian College. Despite the challenge of not speaking English, he persevered, teaching himself the language by reading newspapers, listening to the radio and the unwavering support of his wife and children.

After earning his certification in 1968, he worked at Ontario Paper Company in Manitouwadge, Ontario eventually becoming lead welder. In 1983, he took a leap of faith and founded Paul Dallaire Welding Ltd., turning his passion into a lifelong career.

A hardworking and generous man, he was deeply committed to his craft and his community. His business was more than just a livelihood—it was a place where he formed lasting relationships, always willing to help anyone in need, day or night, no matter the size of the project. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his kindness, and his ability to bring people together through his work and generosity.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Lorne and Maleta Boyd for their tremendous support and the Doctors and nursing staff at Sante Manitouwadge Health.
