This is a picture of aunt Joan with her 2 sisters . She was like a big sister to us Fulkers growing up, not much older than my brother allan and me. However when she turned 13 she did insist that we call her aunt Joan.
Our thoughts go out to you Uncle Johnny

So very sad to hear of Aunt Joan’s passing. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She had the best laugh and the kindest heart. I’ll always remember when she came for my sister Kathy’s wedding and met the love of her life, soon to become Uncle John. My deepest condolences to Uncle John. I can’t imagine the pain and heartache you are feeling. May all your happiest memories comfort you at this difficult time.
Love
Mary, Al and family

So many memories of a caring loving aunt , as a family we shared so many wonderful family times together, Christmas, Weddings, Family Celebrations, and of course the many memorable family dinners at Aunt Joan’s and Uncle Johnny’s house in Chapleau . Always there was love and laughter but mostly, I remember how Aunt Joan could always made each of us feel so near and dear to her.
Our deepest sympathies Uncle Johnny.

Joan was an amazing person, long time camp neighbor and friend. She and I shared many good books and good discussions about teaching on her deck. Some of my favorite memories of Joan are when John would take her on picnic voyages on 5 Mile Lake. Rest in peace, Joan. Our sincere condolences to John and family. Q: What 3 words best describe Joan and why?
A: Joan worked at the Chapleau Campus of Sault College from 1985 to 1991. She was my first manager, my friend, my mentor and my favourite co-worker. Our Chapleau Campus students called her Chief Mother Superior. A nickname that followed her into retirement. Our condolences and prayers to Joan's family. Rest in peace Joan!

I had the privilege of sharing a train ride from Sudbury to Montreal with my Uncle Billy's sister Joan. It was a very long train ride but we talked and discussed the world the entire trip. We did not say goodbye at the station , we went out for dinner and chatted some more. There simply was no shortage of interesting conversion from Aunt Joan. May she rest in peace a truly lovely woman.
